Empty the Tanks: Selfies for Cetaceans

Empty the Tanks Event: Selfies for Cetaceans

This year, our global event will be a little different due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. We are canceling all public events for Empty the Tanks Worldwide 2020, but we still want to give everyone a way to spend the day advocating on behalf of captive cetaceans. This year’s event theme will be Selfies for Cetaceans. You can go simple, or you go BIG. Get out your posters and costumes, and get creative! You can take pictures or make a short video in order to participate.

Your Captivity is Temporary – Theirs Isn’t.

We have created special posters, props, and masks for this year’s virtual Selfies for Cetaceans Empty the Tanks Worldwide Event!

This year Empty the Tanks is dedicating the 2020 Empty the Tanks Worldwide event to the dolphins in the Bali Dolphin Sanctuary. The dolphins now living in the world’s first dolphin sanctuary were rescued from a life in captivity where they were exploited for human entertainment.
