Ric O’Barry in Mexico to Oppose Captive Dolphin Shows

On the heels of his six-week stay in Taiji, where he documented the dolphin slaughter for the world to witness, Ric has landed in Cancun to lend his support to help end captive dolphin shows. He will be participating in a number of events, organized by Mexiconservacion, aimed to educate on the perils of keeping dolphins in captivity. Events will be held in Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and Tulum.
- January 27, 2015 – Press Conference – Cancun 10.00 a.m. – SCHOOL KUKULKAN, SM 32 – beside Ombligo Verde
- January 28 – Sunset with Ric O’Barry – Playa Del Carmen 4:00 p.m. – Talk and discussion about the captive dolphin industry in Wah Wah Beach Bar, Calle 2 (along the beach side)
- January 29 – 3:00 p.m. – Public protest outside Dolphinaris Dolphinarium, Cancun (Wet and Wild Water Park)
- January 30 – 6:00 p.m. – Public Presentation of “The Cove,” followed by a Q&A with Ric O’Barry at the Auditorium UNTRAC, Tulum
No Children under the age of 16 allowed
