Happy 47th Birthday Dolphin Project!

I flew into Bimini in the Bahamas to do something at last about the dolphins. Actually, I wasn’t clear myself about why I was doing it. The only thing I knew for sure was that I had to do something. ~ Richard O’Barry, “Behind the Dolphin Smile.”
We’ve come a long way since that fateful day in 1970 when I made it my life’s mission to protect dolphins worldwide from exploitation and slaughter. Now, 47 years later, all of us at Dolphin Project are as committed as ever to making real and positive change for dolphins.
And we know you are, too.
Your steadfast support of our global projects and campaigns in Japan, UK, Indonesia, the Netherlands, the Solomon Islands, Mexico and the United States is the reason the tide is finally turning for dolphins. Thanks to you, collectively, we have done much towards ending dolphin abuse, and with your help, we will continue to do so.
As we commemorate our 47th year this Earth Day, we ask that you continue to share our blogs and social media posts, encourage others to take the pledge to NOT buy a ticket to a dolphin show, and let your voice be heard on behalf of dolphins.
For the dolphins, always,
Ric O’Barry, Founder/Director of Dolphin Project
