Celebrating 53 Years Defending Dolphins!

It is said that every photo tells a story. When looking back at these past 53 years, I can certainly recall with clarity the first time I saw a dolphin slaughtered in Taiji, Japan, the first time I witnessed the suffering of a captive dolphin in a concrete tank, and the first time I worked with a previously captive dolphin to re-learn its birthright in preparation for release.
Fast forward to the present, I am amazed at how much progress we’ve made defending the rights of dolphins worldwide. From working with local partners to establishing the Umah Lumba Center in West Bali, Indonesia, the world’s first and only permanent dolphin rehabilitation, release and retirement facility for formerly performing dolphins, to our ongoing work documenting and exposing the annual dolphin slaughter and captive dolphin trade in Taiji, Japan, to aiding and empowering local communities in Bali, including operating a free school, and assisting with local wildlife rescue, we continue to expand our global outreach.
What started as a grassroots initiative has transformed into an international movement — and this is all because of your steadfast support of our work.
Today, as we prepare to celebrate 53 years defending dolphins, we would like to give a gift to YOU. From Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23, 2023 (inclusive), shop Dolphin Project’s authentic gear, and enjoy 35% off shop-wide.
