2021 Empty the Tanks Worldwide Event!

We’re inviting you to join us on May 8 for the 9th Annual Empty the Tanks Worldwide Event!
Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, our global event will once again be held online. No matter where you live, we’d love for you to join us and spend the day advocating on behalf of captive cetaceans! (While most public events have been cancelled, there are some event organizers that have decided to do live, in-person events with all COVID safety protocols and measures being followed).
People around the world are ready to move beyond this pandemic and get back into the wilderness of their own lives. And guess what? Captive dolphins feel the same way, every day. So this year, our message is simple: “They are tired of lockdown, too”.
We are encouraging everyone to use May 8 as a day of advocating from home. Get out your posters and costumes, download and print one of our new yard signs, make your own signs, create sidewalk art, or paint murals in your house windows! The sky is the limit so create a display in your yard or home to advocate for cetaceans and let the world know that dolphins and whales are tired of captivity, too.
You can go simple, or you can go BIG. You can participate by taking pictures or by making a short video. Whatever you choose, be sure to use this day to advocate for the dolphins and whales that will still be trapped in captivity, long after this pandemic ends.
